MAUDE WOOD
Miss Maude Wood, daughter of the late William L. and Lucy Byrd Wood, was born at Viola, Arkansas on November 10, 1890 and died at a Mtn. Home, Arkansas hospital on May 15, 1958 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Survivors include two brothers, Monroe Wood of Salem, Ark., and Bob Wood of Blackwell, Okla., one sister, Mrs. Ora Skaggs of Winton, California and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Miss Wood had been a member of the Baptist Church for some forty five years. She had been a school teacher for all of her working life.
Services were held on Saturday, May 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. W.A. Moody of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas officiating. Interment was in the Flint Spring Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Service of Salem.
Pallbearers were Shelby Floyd, Clifton Lidnerman, Rufus Wood, Wayne Hovey, Elbert "Buck" Files and A.W. O'Bryant.
