"Died-Diehl- at her late residence near Emerson, on Tuesday Dec. 19th, of old age, Mrs. Margaret Diehl, aged 86 years. Margaret Diehl was born in Franklin county, PA, in 1807 (?) and removed to Emerson twenty three years ago, where she has since resided. She leaves five children; four sons and one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Carolus, of this city. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church most of her life and was an earnest and conscientious christian, loved by all who knew her. The funeral occurs Friday morning at 11 o'clock at the Emerson church, Rev. E. Brown, of this city officiating. Interment in the Riverside cemetery."
