MERIT CLARK DIES AT MOLALLA HOME
Molalla,August 3-Merit Clark,77,well known resident of near Molalla for 30 years,died at his home Wednesday night after an illness of several months.
A definite date has not yet been set for the funeral,but it will probably be Monday.
Mr. Clark was born in Fennimore,Wis.,in 1858.In 1888 he was married to Alice Clark,of Carlyle,Iowa,who survives him.
They came to Oregon in 1892 and lived in McMinnville,Scotts Mills,and Molalla.Seven children survive Mr. Clark.They are:Mrs. John N. Laferty,Horton,Ore.;Mrs. Robert Damm,Ryderwood,Wash.;Mrs. Harry Apperson,Los Angeles;Donald Clark,Los Angeles;Mrs. Chester Long,Dayton;Mrs. R.I. Orem,Molalla,and Mrs. Richard G. Warthen.He is also survived by a sister,Mrs. Elizabeth Adkins,of Salem,and a brother,George,of Maderia,California.
