Born (1/25/1928) in Creamery‚ he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Ellen (Cramer) Benner.
Mr. Benner was a self-employed painter since 1991. Prior to this he was employed by Irvin Y. Alderfer‚ the former Sun-lite Shop and Moyer & Son‚ Inc.‚ both of Souderton.
In addition to his wife‚ he is survived by four children‚ Darlene Harley and her husband‚ Kim‚ of Perkasie‚ Leon Benner and his wife‚ Kathy‚ of Quakertown‚ Pamela Myers and her husband‚ Mel‚ of Quakertown and Kelley Benner of Harleysville; three brothers‚ Linford and his wife‚ Miriam‚ of Franconia‚ Willard of Frederick and Joseph of Reading; a sister‚ Kathryn Benner of Hatfield; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister‚ Barbara Nice‚ and brothers‚ Samuel‚ Garret‚ Edwin and Chris.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Friday‚ Aug. 22‚ 12 noon at Bethel Baptist Church‚ Sellersville. Interment‚ Limerick Garden of Memories.
