Obituary in The Shreveport Times November 11, 2010:

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of James Ben Peterson, 66, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Dye and Rev. Mike Green. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.

James was born on November 19, 1943 in Gibsland, LA to Ben and Hazel Beatrice Peterson. He passed away after a lengthy illness on November 9, 2010 in Bossier City, LA. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Bossier City and was a retired Security Officer.

His parents, sisters, Pat DiRosa and Frances Virginia Peterson, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Pullig Peterson.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Central Baptist Church of Bossier City or to the donor's choice. A special thank you to Dr. Michael Angelo, the Promise Hospital of Bossier and to the Cypress Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to James.
