Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m., in the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m., in the funeral home.
Wanda was born June 14, 1931 in Mendota to Daniel and Ella Mae (Gillette) Mahar. She married Edward Boyle.
Wanda worked at Conco, Inc. and Caron Yarn Company. Her best job was caring for her family and her many companion dogs throughout her life. Wanda especially enjoyed family fishing trips to Chetek, WI. where out of those came many great stories to smile about and share with others. Wanda was known for her great wit and compassion and having a charismatic way of sharing and spreading laughter with those around her.
She is survived by her daughter Georgette Wheeler of Mendota; her son Michael E. Boyle of Green Valley; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and her chihuahua Mocha Su.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2006, and nine siblings Lois Alexander, Esther Hjort, Eldridge Mahar, Rodger Mahar, Donald Mahar, Harry Mahar, Keith Mahar, Marjorie Mahar, and Gladys Mahar.
