Funeral services were held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Judy Jenkins Hosey, age 64, who died January 9, 2008 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Brentwood, Tennessee. She lived with her daughter's family in Brentwood, Tennessee at the time of her death.

Judy was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on August 6, 1943. She was one of six children of Hillary Jenkins and Meline Guidry Jenkins of Scott, Louisiana. She will be remembered as a hard-working, self-sacrificing, and dedicated mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Judy worked for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Athletics Department for 23 years. In addition to many friends and family in the Lafayette area, she will be missed by many in Zachary, Louisiana where she lived for 6 years at Oakwood Village. Judy's passion for gardening was evident at Oakwood as she spent countless hours maintaining the landscaping and beds with beautiful flowers.

She was survived by her mother, Meline Jenkins; one sister, three brothers, two daughters, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hillary Jenkins; and brother, Luther Jenkins.
