Obituary

George B. Drew, deceased, died Tuesday December 6th at 4:40 p.m. at the residence of S. P. Gaumer, in Des Moines, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 5 days. Deceased was born near Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there until sixteen years of age, then came with his parents to Carnforth, Iowa, and resided there until twenty-two years of age, when he was married to Miss Eliza I. Manatt, of Carnforth, Iowa. After their marriage, Mr. Drew took up Railroad Contract work which he followed for twent years, then he and his wife located on a farm near Soliders Grove, Wisconsin and has resided there since, until March of this year-when his loss of health caused him to seek medical aid in many parts of the country, but without benefit. The end came as though he was going to sleep. Besides other relatives Mr. Drew leaves to mourn his departure a wife and four brothers to mourn his loss. His brothers are: J. B. Drew of Denver, Colo., C. W. Drew of Cripple Creek, Colo., A. C. Drew of Omaha, Neb., and Ed Drew of Creston, Iowa.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church in Victor on Friday, Dec. 9, conducted by Rev. A. H. Barker, with burial in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
