CALISTOGA
Aurora "Lola" Mello, 75, passed to her rest at her Calistoga home on January 6, 2002. She was born to Robert and Anna Rizzonelli in Windber, Pennsylvania on June 14, 1926.
She lived, and was schooled, in Windber, Pennsylvania until she married Nilo E. Bazzoli and moved to Calistoga in 1946. After Nilo's passing 1961, she married John E. Flynn in 1962, who passed in 1964. She married Adam B. Mello on August 2, 1968 and had been married for 33 years.
She loved to dance, and had a love of cooking for family and friends. She was respected, loved and known by everyone as "Ma."
She is survived by her husband, Adam Mello of Calistoga; children, Anne Lines of San Diego, CA; Daniel Bazzoli of Calistoga; Robert Bazzoli of Phuket, Thailand; John Flynn of Long Beach, CA; Lina Mello of Napa; plus her three brothers and one sister, all of Merced, CA; Theodore Rizzonelli, Constantino Rizzonelli and Gino Rizzonelli; and sister Stella Testa. In addition she is survived by five grandchildren, Chris Anderson-Bazzoli, Daniel J. Bazzoli, Matthew Lines, Keli Flynn, and Rebecca Siler, plus numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two previous husbands, Nilo E. Bazzoli and John E. Flynn.
She has been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 1946. A member of The Sons of Italy; Portuguese Clubs of Novato, Petaluma, and Vallejo; also the Elks and Moose of OR, and R.V. Woodcarvers.
A visitation will be held at Morrison Funeral Chapel, 990 Vintage Avenue, St. Helena on Wednesday, January 9, 2002, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., with the rosary at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2002, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Calistoga, CA. Reception immediately following.
Donations may be made in her name to the Hospice of Napa Valley, 3299 Claremont Way, Napa, CA 94558, if you so desire.
