Born to Verlin D. "Bud" and Fern Houchens Hammer, she married Jay Marshal Hulick. She later married Fred Etherton on June 25, 1976, in Sterling. He survives.
Also surviving are her mother; four daughters, Abby (Bobby) Humbles, Terri Anderson, Janet (Steve) Jungk and Christine (Bill) Ruth; 15 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Nancy Pease and Barbara Roach; one brother, Larry Hammer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and one daughter, Carol Ehmke.
She was co-owner and operator of Central Brokerage Co. Inc. of Peoria for 23 years.
