Ervin A. Hinderman, age 98, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, February 17, 2006 at Sleepy Eye Medical Center.

Ervin A. Hinderman was born on March 4, 1907 in German Ridgley Township, MN, the son of Jacob & Wilhelmina (Fehlhaber) Hinderman. He grew up and attended school in Nicollet County. Ervin married Mabel Nelson on September 21, 1935 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fairfax, MN. The couple made their home in Home Township, Brown County where they lived and farmed for many years. They retired from farming in 1975 and later moved to Sleepy Eye in 1998. Mabel preceded Ervin in death on April 21, 2000. Ervin was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Fairfax. He enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities like hunting & fishing.

Survivors include his sons, Cliff Hinderman of Spirit Lake, IA, Gary & wife Janet Hinderman of Sleepy Eye and Douglas & wife Mavis Hinderman of Sleepy Eye, grandchildren, Michelle (Jeff) Krueger, Melissa (Mike) Heine, Brandon Hinderman & fiancee Sarah Haala, Jeff (Tammy) Hinderman and Ricky Hinderman, sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Clarence) Buboltz of Fairfax and Christine Nelson of Sleepy Eye and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Emma, Fred, Herbert, Albert, Louisa, Harry, Viola and Leonard.
