Pioneer Resident of County Expires

Mrs.Georgietta C Brindle, age nearly 81 years passed away at the home of her son
George S Brindle, seven and one half miles southwest of Lebanon this morning at
10:50 o'clock. Death was due to a complication of diseases due to a fall received several
weeks ago and the infirmities of old age.
Mrs. Brindle was born in Boone Co and resided here all her life, with the exception of four years spent in Greencastle. She was married in August 1883, in Boone Co. to the
Rev. Livings H Brindle who died in January, 1887. She united with the Methodist Church
at Stewart's Chapel at the age of twelve years.
Surviving is one son, George S Brindle of Boone Co. She also leaves five grandchildren, Mrs. Georgia LaFollette, Livings, Noel, Zona and John L Brindle.
One son, John L Brindle, was killed in France in the World War. She was the last of a family of seven children.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist Protestant Church at
Milledgeville, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Nathaniel Vice officiating.
Burial will be in Brockway Cemetery.
