Eugene Rabon, 80, passed away Monday September 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 25, 1937 in Horry County, a son of the late Gary and Martha Carroll Rabon. He was also predeceased by five siblings, Newberry Rabon, Archie Rabon, Jack Rabon, Fred Rabon and Edna Rabon.
Gene was employed by and enjoyed working at Palmetto Paving for forty-seven years. Being a happy and outgoing man, he loved to play jokes on others. Gene never met a stranger and was an avid outdoors man. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, brother and friend.
Mr. Rabon is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Loree Rabon; two daughters, Lori Ann Hucks (Simon) and Holly Floyd; two sisters, Zettie Herrington and Louise Dauber; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three nephews, Jimmy Rabon (Sherry), Carl Rabon (Evelyn) and Pete Rabon.
The family would like to thank Lora and Johnny and the staff at Amedisys Hospice for all their loving care.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Watson Funeral Services from 6pm until 8p.m
