Martha Croyle November 30, 1928 September 5, 2017 The well-loved Mrs. Martha "Marty" Croyle passed away September 5, 2017, in her Boalsburg home. Marty was born in Neffs Mills in 1928, to Clyde L. Hallman and Mary "Jane" Parsons Hallman. Marty was the second of four daughters and grew up on the Parsons family farm before working for the Navy, Penn State, and the U.S. Postal Service. She was married for 53 years to Charles Croyle (1929-2003). Marty and Charles met when they attended the same one-room Mooresville school in seventh grade, and her first memory of Charles was seeing him peddle his bike down the dirt road, his necktie flying in the breeze. Marty is survived by her daughters, Diane Croyle, of Orlean, Va.; Lisa Croyle, of San Jose, Calif.; and Debbie Kummer, of Pleasanton, Calif.; sister, Nancy Greene, of Hockessin; Del.; son-in-law, Bill Seymore; and eight grandchildren across the U.S. and Australia who have many memories of "Grammy" as an avid reader, Pittsburgh Pirates fan, seamstress and board game guru. Even last year, she still hauled truckloads of fruit over the mountain and wore lipstick to do it. Marty and Charles were members of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College. Viewing September 17, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Koch's Funeral Home, and life celebration service September 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in St Paul's United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Rebecca McGee. Interment at the cemetery in Mooresville.
