Bernie Odelson passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on September 7, 2017. He displayed strength, courage, and dignity during his hard fought battle with cancer.

Bernie was born on July 7, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Oscar and Rebecca Odelson. He selflessly served his country that he loved in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in February of 1965.

Bernie married Linda Moscatello on October 5, 1991 in Paramus, New Jersey. He attended the University of Chicago where he studied Economics. His career with HSBC, as an Investment Banker, led him to New York, Las Vegas, and Texas. He retired in 2001. Bernie was a member of Santa Rosa Catholic Church in Andice, Texas.

Bernie was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Loretta Isaccson.

To cherish his memory, Bernie leaves behind his wife, Linda Odelson of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Alison Crenwelge of Austin, Texas; son, Geoffrey Van Der Wall of Austin, Texas; daughter, Ann Bisaccio and husband Mike of Verona, New Jersey; son, Paul Odelson of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren: Oliver Crenwelge, Ryan, Olivia, and Quinn Bisaccio; as well as his sister, Arlene Chick of Chicago, Illinios.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Santa Rosa Catholic Church, in Andice, Texas. Bernie will be laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, in Killeen, Texas at 12:00 p.m., with military honors presented by the United States Army.
