NATHANIEL PHILEMON BOOTH, 70, of Los Angeles, CA., died Aug. 28th. A Memorial service for NATHANIEL BOOTH will be held 2-p.m. Sat., Sept. 9th, at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 12:30-until 2-p.m., Saturday.

Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery.

NATHANIEL BOOTH is survived by:

His son – Christopher (Maria) Booth, of Los Angeles.

His daughters – Emily (Al Michael) Concordia, of San Jose, CA; Belinda Barden, of Orange County, CA.

His brother – Robert “Sandy” (Connie) Booth, of Boone.

His sister – Linda (Gailyn) Larsen, of York, PA.

2 grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Mary Booth, of Westphalia.

Obituary for Nathaniel Philemon Booth

Nathaniel P. Booth was born at Emanuel Lutheran Hospital in Omaha March 19, 1947 to Robert and Mary Louise (Harrison) Booth.

Nate lived Harlan, IA and attended Harlan Community Schools graduating in 1965. He then attended University of Nebraska and graduated from Dental School in 1971.

He practiced dentistry in Omaha, NE and St. Johnsbury, VT. After his dental career, he went back to UNO to for his counseling degree. He used this degree to create a smoking cessation program and a weight loss program in Omaha. From there, he joined Tony Robbins International as a speaker and trainer. After working with Tony, Nate founded his own motivational speaking company and was an author of numerous books including the autobiography of Harlan Head Football Coach Curt Bladt. Later in life, Nate loved to write screenplays, one of which was a sequel to Caddyshack looked at by Bill Murray.

Nate is survived by his sister Linda Larsen, and husband Gailyn, of York, PA; and brother Sandy Booth, with wife Connie, of Boone, IA. Nate’s children are Chris Booth, and wife Maria, of Los Angeles, CA; Emily Concordia, with husband Almichael, of San Jose, CA; and Belinda Barden of Encinitas, CA. Nate’s two grandchildren are Alexandria and Jack Concordia. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nate will be missed by his entire family and all the people he has positively impacted throughout his life.

A reception will be held at Therkildsen Community Center immediately following Nate's Celebration of Life.
