Randy passed away Tuesday, November 4th at the Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. Survivors include: His wife Mary Booth of Westphalia; 3 children Wendy Miles of Denver, CO, Allison (Gary) Aikman of Omaha, NE, Stephanie Booth (friend Tom O'Brien) 1 sister, 2 brothers, and 3 grandchildren. RANDY ‘STUART’ BOOTH, 57, of Westphalia passed away Tuesday at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan. Funeral Services for Randy Booth will be 2pm Sunday at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan who also has the arrangements.

Visitation for Randy Booth will be between 1 and 2pm Sunday at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.

Randall Cary Booth, son of Robert and Mary Lou (Harrison) Booth, was born on January 5, 1957, in Harlan, Iowa. He developed many lifelong friendships with other children growing up at the intersection of Tenth and Victoria in Harlan, who enjoyed his entrepreneurial spirit including a carnival he set up in the basement of his family's home with his best friend Tim at the age of six. At a young age, he enjoyed riding his go cart and a motorcycle before his feet could even touch the ground. He attended school at Harlan and was a member of the graduating class of 1975. He was also a very talented as a musician and played guitar in numerous bands.

Randall was united in marriage to Mary Lea Schwarte on September 4, 1982. He followed in his father's footsteps working in the field of cartography at RC Booth, Enterprises. Like his father and mother, he enjoyed boating and spending time at Lake Okoboji with family and friends, especially sailboating, and was always happy to provide the sweet corn and man the grill.

Randall Cary died on November 4, 2014 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa, having attained the age of fifty-seven years, nine months, and thirty days.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Mary Lea Booth of Westphalia, Iowa; his three daughters: Wendy Miles of Denver, Colorado, Allison and her husband Gary Aikman of Omaha, Nebraska, and Stephanie Booth and her friend Tom O'Brien, Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandchildren: Alexavier Miles of Denver, Colorado, Lily Aikman of Tea, South Dakota, and James O'Brien of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his sister Linda and her husband Gailyn Larsen of York, Pennsylvania; his brothers Nate Booth and his friend Linda Miller, Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Booth and his wife Connie of Boone, Iowa; along with other relatives and many friends including Kortnie Bradley and Sierra Bain who he gladly accepted as one of the family.

Randy Booth, son of Robert and Mary Lou Harrison Booth, was born January 5, 1957 in Harlan. Mary Lea Schwarte is the daughter of Martin and Catherine Kaufman Schwarte and was born March 29, 1961. They were married September 30, 1982, at St. Michael's Church, Harlan by Mary's uncle, Msgr. Michael Schwarte. Randy is employed at Booth Enterprises.
Their children are: Wendy; Allison, and Stephanie.

Booths Will Celebrate 25th Anniversary

WESTPHALIA ~~ Randall and Mary Lea Booth of Westphalia will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on September 4 with a family celebration. The Booths have three daughters: Allison, Westphalia; Stephanie, Westphalia; and Wendy and Kirk Miles, Sedalia, Mo. The couple has one grandson. Randall is employed at the Country Store in Harlan. Mary Lea is employed as a preschool teacher at Little Blessings in Harlan and at Hy~Vee. Randall Booth and Mary Lea Schwarte were married on September 4, 1982 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Harlan.
