Gregory P. Bonham passed away Sept. 3, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 6, 1954, in Hawaii and found his home in Texas and became a long-time resident of Palestine, Tyler, and Whitehouse. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1972 to 1976.

As a devoted member of the Tyler Masonic Lodge No. 1233, he served as Master and Secretary of Lodge. Gregg was also a member of the Scottish Rite Body in Dallas, where he received his 32nd Degree and was awarded the 32nd Degree KCCH. He was Chairman of the board of the Scottish Rite Childrens Learning Center in Tyler. He was a member of the Sharon Shrine Temple in Tyler and member of the Clown Unit. He received his potentate award in 1993. As a CPA, he represented various businesses and foundations in East Texas.

Gregg was preceded by his parents, Carlton and Shirley Bonham; a sister, Carlene Bonham; and nephew, Robert Bonham. He is survived by two sisters, Priscilla Schaefer (Bruce), of Port Angeles, Washington, and Patricia Tucker (Charles), of Ono, California; a brother, Carlton Bonham III; and nieces and nephews, Tim Kilgore (Janeen), Beth Rupp (Brad), Joshua Tucker, John Jurich, Shanon Craun (Will), Jeannie Ramos (Rodney), Brezi Little (Mark), and Chenoa Tran (Dan).

Gregg loved life and will be truly missed by all the many friends he so cherished and loved. The memorial service will be held at the Sharon Shrine Temple, 10027 Texas Highway 31 East in Tyler on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at 2 p.m.
