Husband of Frances Jane Roberts ( 1854-1896 ) Father of Edward Roberts Hines, Maud Hines, Madison "Mattie" Hines, William Trice Hines, Beula May Hines, and Paul Hines ( died in infancy ). An article from The Yadkin Valley News (N.C.) states: To the Stewards of M.E. Church relative to the death of Brother Madison Hines. Brother Hines was born in N.C. June 2, 1849 and died at his home in Milledgeville, Ga. He leaves a wife and five children. He came to Milledgeville in January of 1880. He was buried in the old city cemetery.
