She was born June 6, 1915 in Mt. Erie, the daughter of John and Della Miller Galbreath. She married Glen Shannon, Jan. 5, 1936 in Mt. Erie. He preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1982.
She was a homemaker and member of Enterprise United Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women of Enterprise-West.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelby Gillard; two sons, Carl and Glennis Shannon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral services were held at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Burial was in Scott Cemetery in Mt. Erie.
