Kathleen Dale Adkins Huggins, of Danville, passed away on August 30, 2017, at SOVAH Health. Born in Pittsylvania County on January 14, 1931, she was a daughter of Claude Birman Adkins and Virgie Mae Adkins Adkins. She was married to Theodore "Ted" Pollard Huggins who predeceased her on July 25, 1992. She was also predeceased by seven siblings, Lorene Adkins, James H. Adkins, Reid G. Adkins, Calvin B. Adkins, Iris D. Adkins, Robert E. Adkins, and Judy Lane Adkins. She was educated at Callands School and Radford College where she received her teaching certificate. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Past President and founding member of Starwood Garden Club, Past President of Windsor Heights Garden Club. She is survived by three sisters, Geneva A. Hodges, Betty A. Gibson and Barbara Jo Mills; two children, Elizabeth Huggins Brown (William) and William S. Huggins (Barbara); three grandchildren. Burial will follow in Highland Burial Park.
