the picture shown on this page is Janes marker, I seen it many years ago when the writing was clear.
She is buried next to her Mother and Father and on the other side of her is her husband John Hall's Marker , I believe, although it only has Hall written on it


Jane was a daughter of Wesley Daubenspeck and Nancy Lakin Daubenspeck

married John Hall April 21, 1864 at Fortville, Hancock Co., Indiana. Came to Decatur,Macon Co., IL with John , October 1865

Charles Hall b. August 04, 1867
Dora Hall b. June 17, 1869
Cora Hall b. June 17, 1869

She married William L. Howard about 1893
He was not listed in her obit, only her children but her old tombstone that is unreadable now was written Howard.
She died at her sisters house and her husband was still alive, unsure if Jane and William were seperated or what.







Mrs. Jane Howard died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Wallet, at 1638 East Wood street of appendicitis. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Albert Hall and Charley Hall, both of Decatur, Mrs. Dora Hoffman of Peoria, Mrs. Cora Nelson of Chillicothe, Il. She is also survived by six sisters and one brother. They are Mrs. Daniel Zinn of La Place, Mrs. J.J. Miller and Mrs. W.H. Mills of Decatur, Mrs. A.J. Puhl of Joliet, Mrs. J.U. Allett and Mrs. J. Glasgow of Decatur and Morton Daubenspeck of St. Louis.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Jane Howard was held Thursday forenoon from the family residence, 1638 East Wood street. Burial was in Mt. Gilead.
