Andrew Jackson Etheridge was born on December 26, 1869 in Tennessee, the son of George Washington "Wash" Etheridge (1829–1895) and Eliza Jane (Dickerson) Etheridge (1833–1916).
A merchant living at 2 miles Gallatin Road in Nashville, he was 35 years old, married and had a gangrenous let when he died at Saint Thomas Hospital of sepsis on November 17, 1905. Burial was two days later in Spring Hill Cemetery.
