Delbert Adams, age 60, of Garnett, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, Kansas .

He was born January 15, 1957, in Garnett, Kansas, the son of Homer and Helen (Fagg) Adams. He graduated from Garnett High School and attended Emporia State University for one year, with a scholarship to play football.

Delbert enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and fishing. He loved to put puzzles together, watch westerns, and ride his four wheeler. He loved collecting guns, coins, and metal tractors for a while.

He was a farmer most of his life but also drove a semi and worked construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Helen Adams; three brothers, Howard Wayne Adams, Darrell Alfred Adams, and Walter Lincoln Adams; and one sister, Elaine Mitchell; one nephew, Troy "Bud" McDaniel; and one great nephew, Clay Yoder.

Delbert is survived by two brothers, Ralph Adams of Welda, Kansas, Homer Adams of Colony, Kansas; two sisters, Mildred Adams of Garnett, Kansas; and Charlotte Adams of Independence, Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel, Garnett, with burial following in the Glenloch Cemetery, Glenloch, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Garnett.
