SAN ANGELO, Texas — Effie Crigger, 88, of San Angelo, formerly of Sidney, Ky., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at her son's residence in San Angelo.
Bom May 10, 1909, at Canada, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Victoria Maynard Blackburn.
She was also preceded in death by: husband. Lee Crigger; son, Jerry Lee Crigger; sisters, Verdie Thornsbury and Bradie Blackburn; and brothers, Enoch, Bill, Melvin, Arnold "Doc", Luther and Hassell Blackburn.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sidney Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors: sons. William Harold Crigger, San Angelo, and Ted Crigger, Garrett, Ky.; brother, Frenie Blackburn, Richmond, Ohio; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, Dix Fork Regular Baptist Church with Regular Baptist minister officiating.
Burial: Smith Cemetery, Sidney, Ky.
Pallbearers: nephews.
Visitation: after 6 p.m. Sunday at Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Ky., and after 5 p.m. Monday at the church. Services at 7 p.m. both nights.
