Alice Davis Hyatt, 88, of Silverhill, Alabama, formerly of Murphy, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. She was a native of Cherokee County. Alice was the lead computer analyst with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, retiring with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church in Alabama. Alice loved her family and enjoyed gardening. She was the daughter of the late J.B. and Mary Jane Lunsford Davis and the wife of the late Oliver Nathan Hyatt, who died July 30, 1995. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jane Hanks, Blanche Heath, and Beatrice LeMaster; and seven brothers, Max, Sam, Oid, Ned, Ray, Howell, and Don Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hamlin and husband, John “Eddie” of Silverhill; sister, Vista Miller of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Rex Davis of Murphy; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC with
Rev. Eddis Dockery officiating. Local arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, Hwy 59 Robertsdale, AL.
