He saw service in the United States Army during the World War and was stationed in Europe for a length of time. In 1926, he married Miss Faye Morgan in Hico. The couple have made their home on a ranch near Hico. Survived by his wife; his parents; brothers and sisters - Mrs. Hugh Hardeman, Gilbert Hargus, Garland Hargus, Mrs. Claude Boles, Miss Valera Hargus, June Hargus.
