Services for B.L. "Barry" Hargus were held in the Eastland Methodist Church. He was an Eastland County pioneer farmer and rancher. He was one of 14 children born to this parents. He moved to Eastland County in 1877. He was a successful stock farmer. He lived just east of the city of Eastland. He helped construct the Texas and Pacific Railroad through West Texas. Survived by six children - Garland Hargus, Gilbert Hargus, June Hargus, Mrs. Hugh Hardeman, Mrs. Claude Boles, Mr.s Velera Lederman; one sistre - Mrs. Ida Jones, the last of the family of 14 children.
