Thomas Ports Passes Away
Thomas Ports, one of the oldest residents of Iowa Co., died at a Iowa City hospital Monday. About six weeks ago he was taken to the hospital and an operation performed from which he never recovered. He was seventy three years old and has lived in Victor and on his farm near Victor for over forty six years. He leaves a loving wife and four sons, Howard of New Hampton, Will of Sheridan, WY., Edgar of Anadarko, OK., and Stanley of Pond Creek, OK. The whole community mourns his loss. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at ten o'clock.
