Josie Villarreal Cisneros, 83, of Abilene, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at home with loving family at her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood Street, with Father Isidore Ochiabuto officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cisneros was born May 01, 1934, in Abilene, Texas to Domingo and Cresencia Chia Villarreal.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandma, sister and friend.

Her daily routine was visiting and helping all those she loved and cared for.

Josie was an active member of Lulac.

She was present in all the functions and family gatherings.

Mrs Cisneros worked as a housekeeper, a clerk for the State of Texas, and also at an assembly line for the company called Rogar.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Esther Flores( Daniel) and Mary Murillo (Salvador) both of Abilene; four brothers, Domingo Villarreal Jr. (Eva) of Abilene, Pascual Villarreal (Joy) of Fresno California, Rudy Villarreal of Coleman, Texas and Nick Flores (Viola) of Utah; three sisters, Carmen Diaz, Delores Mclamore (Harlan) both of Abilene and Geneva Rodriguez of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Mrs Cisneros was preceded in death by her parents Domingo and Cresencia Villarreal; her step-mother, Natividad Villarreal; one sister Juanita Moreno; her brothers, Pete Flores, Joe Louis Flores, Alfredo Flores and Joe Flores.

The family will receive friends and relatives at a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday , August 15, 2017, at the Northwest Church of Christ, 1141 North Willis Street. Praying of the rosary will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by the wake at 7:00 p.m.

Pallbearers include Edward Murillo, Gavin Murillo, Joe Murillo, Jason Murillo, Cory Murillo and Jaimito Flores. Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Murillo and Joseph Flores.
