Nancy E. Rider, age 67 of Biglerville, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home. She was born Thursday, July 13, 1950 in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary T. (Smith) Henschke.

Nancy graduated from Delone Catholic High School in 1968. She was formerly employed by Apple Leaf Abstracting Settlement for several years. She had also worked at Gettysburg College in human resources. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She enjoyed riding her bike, sewing, crafts, baking, and NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David L. Rider. She is also survived by three daughters, Jackie A. and husband Kirby Pottorff of Gettysburg, Sheila M. Rider of Gettysburg, Annette L. and husband Kevin Kirby of Gettysburg, six grandchildren, Cody Rider, Christopher Kirby, Stephanie Kirby, Trevor Kirby, Kayla Pottorff and Sara Baker, three sisters: Janet and husband Sylvester Seymore of Laurel MD, Mary Newman of Hanover, Teresa and husband Leon Wagner of Spring Grove, three brothers: Steve and wife Gladys Henschke of Gettysburg, Bernard and wife Kathy Henschke of Hanover, Michael Henschke and companion Steph King of York, a number of nieces and nephews and brother-in-law Donald Rider of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Henschke and brother-in-law Robert Newman.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 19, at Dugan Funeral Home with Father John Kuchinski officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services. A celebration of her life will continue at Oakside Community Park, 2880 Table Rock Rd., Biglerville at noon time on Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
