Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm on the day of the service.
Mrs. Woodruff was born on September 18, 1936 in Houston County and lived her early years there.
She was a graduate of Dothan High School and joined the United States Navy where she was stationed in Annapolis, Maryland.
For several years she was a homemaker before joining the Naval Reserves and later the Air Force Reserves until her retirement as a Senior Master Sargent in 1994.
She enjoyed bowling and belonged to several bowling leagues; she served on the Fort Rucker Retiree Council.
Mrs. Woodruff attended Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church and a former member of the Dothan Elks Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Ezell and Ouida McNeal Allen; her brother, Jimmy Wayne Allen; and her sister, Patricia Allen Mercer.
Mrs. Woodruff is survived by her son Jimmy (Linda) Parr; her daughters, Sarah (Bobby) Locklier and Kathleen (Norman) Goss; her 5 grandchildren; her sister Judith Allen Price; several nieces and nephews.
