Jean Allen Woodruff, 80, of Dothan passed away Mon­day, Au­gust 14, 2017 at her res­i­dence.

Fu­neral ser­vices will be held on Tues­day, Au­gust 22, 2017 at 2 pm in Sun­set Fu­neral Home Chapel.

Bur­ial with Mil­i­tary Hon­ors will fol­low in Sun­set Memo­r­ial Park with Robert Byrd di­rect­ing.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends at the fu­neral home from 1-2 pm on the day of the ser­vice.

Mrs. Woodruff was born on Sep­tem­ber 18, 1936 in Hous­ton County and lived her early years there.

She was a grad­u­ate of Dothan High School and joined the United States Navy where she was sta­tioned in An­napo­lis, Mary­land.

For sev­eral years she was a home­maker be­fore join­ing the Naval Re­serves and later the Air Force Re­serves un­til her re­tire­ment as a Se­nior Mas­ter Sar­gent in 1994.

She en­joyed bowl­ing and be­longed to sev­eral bowl­ing leagues; she served on the Fort Rucker Re­tiree Coun­cil.

Mrs. Woodruff at­tended Tri­umphant Cross Lutheran Church and a for­mer mem­ber of the Dothan Elks Lodge.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents James Ezell and Ouida Mc­Neal Allen; her brother, Jimmy Wayne Allen; and her sis­ter, Pa­tri­cia Allen Mer­cer.

Mrs. Woodruff is sur­vived by her son Jimmy (Linda) Parr; her daugh­ters, Sarah (Bobby) Lock­lier and Kath­leen (Nor­man) Goss; her 5 grand­chil­dren; her sis­ter Ju­dith Allen Price; sev­eral nieces and nephews.
