Mrs. Betty Bazemore Saxon, 82 of Sylvania passed Sunday morning at her residence on August 13, 2017.
Betty was born to the late Causey Joseph and Audice Maria Sasser of Sylvania, GA. She retired as an administrative assistant from BASF with 14 years of service and had been a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Sylvania. She loved her God and church and was very active in the church, having taught Sunday school, volunteering for activities, and was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lamar Saxon; brothers, Hubert Joseph Bazemore and Stanley Wayne Bazemore, brother-in-law, Charles E. Saxon.
Funeral services will be held August 15, 2017 at 11:00am in the Screven Chapel of Joiner Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00am prior to the service.
Burial will follow at the Screven Memorial Cemetery.
