STOCKWELL, Fiona Munro 88, died on October 15, 2015 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
She was born November 17, 1926 to Henry Hugh Hawkins Munro and Mary Child in Paris, France. Fiona attended Milton Academy in Massachusetts and Bennett Junior College in New York.
Just after World War II, while working for PAN AM Airways in Boston, she met Ernie Stockwell and they were married and moved to Dover, Massachusetts where they began raising their family.
While raising her family, Fiona began working as a potter, winning a number of awards, selling her wares locally and then teaching pottery. Her hobbies included gardening, travel, community theater, tennis, St. Dunstan's Church, her family and her dogs.
Fiona is predeceased by her father HHH Munro, her mother Mary Child, her step mother Gladys Munro, her husband Ernest F. Stockwell Jr. and her brother Paul Sheeline.
She is survived by her son, Terry Stockwell of Southport, Maine, her daughter, Diana Kerr of East Boothbay, Maine, and her daughter, Elizabeth Stockwell of Amesbury, Massachusetts, She is also survived by her brother David Munro of Penfield, New York, grandson, Benjamin Stockwell of Mystic, Connecticut, grandson, Duncan Kerr of Hallowell, Maine, grandson, Brooks Kerr of Portland, Maine, grandson, William Stockwell of Amesbury, Massachusetts, granddaughter, Amanda Stockwell of Durham, North Carolina, granddaughter, Fiona Kerr or Portland, Maine, and granddaughter, Veronica Snyder of Boston, Massachusetts.
A celebration of Fiona's life is scheduled at 11AM on November 27, 2015 at St. Dunstan's Church in Dover, Massachusetts, with a second celebration to be scheduled on Vinalhaven, Maine during summer 2016.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vinalhaven Land Trust, 12 Skoog Park Road, Vinalhaven, Maine 04863, or to the American Cancer Society, One Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham, Maine 04086, in Fiona's name. Hall's of Boothbay has care of the arrangements.
