Alvin Goldey, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital Lexington. He was born January 19, 1942 to Athie and Aileen Pieratt Goldey. He was a member of the Camargo Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Compton Goldey; two sons, Steven Goldey (Melinda) of Jeffersonville, KY and Dempsey Burns (Wendi) of Mt. Sterling, KY; two daughters, Trina Bishop of Mt. Sterling, KY and Regina Browning (Dana) of Shelbyville, KY; and seven grandchildren, Tabitha Bishop, Samantha Goldey, Micaiah Bishop, Emma Browning, Rebecca Burns, Alyssa Burns and Dempsey Wade Browning.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Goldey; one sister, Shirley Hacker; and two grandchildren, Amanda Goldey and Clayton Browning.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Wesley Delk and Robin Meyer officiating, burial following at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery. Friends may visit 5-8 PM, Friday, August 11, 2017. Pallbearers will be Tracey Routt, Gary Ballard, John Thomas, Greg Barnett, Ed Clark, Aaron Imel and Randy Stanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Dirk Pendleton, Billy Wayne Gilvin, David Grayson, Roger Greene, Ranny O’Dell, Larry Rose and Larry Goldie.
