Constance "Connie" (Amenta) Halstead, 99, wife of the late Raymond Halstead, passed away peacefully in the loving presence of her family on Friday, August 4, 2017 after a short illness.

Born in Cromwell, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Lucia (Rosano) Amenta. Connie lived in Cromwell and was a faithful parishioner of Saint John Church.

She graduated Middletown High School and was a hairdresser until her retirement in 1981. Connie was a strong, loving, and devoted wife, daughter, sister and aunt. Her family will miss her steadfast love and devotion.

Connie is survived by two sisters, Lillian Cota of Cromwell and Marie Milardo of Portland and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, five siblings, Sebastian V. Amenta, Angela Arcidiacono, Minnie Marino, Vincenza "Jennie" Amenta, and Ann A. Bradley predeceased Connie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 10th at 11:00 am at Saint John Church in Cromwell. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.

Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home.
