January 20, 1930 ~ July 27, 2017
My dear father passed away on Thursday evening, July 27, 2017. He was born to Glyde Webb and Christie Ilene Morrison in Monroe, Utah. He grew up loving his family, his friends, and the beautiful valleys and mountains of Sevier County, Utah.

He moved to Provo, Utah, in 1947, graduating from Provo High School as Valedictorian in 1948. He married my mother, Beverly Joy Miller, in 1952. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1954 in Advanced Studies and later graduated from the University of Utah, Marquette University and the University of Colorado, gaining Masters Degrees in Business, Finance and Accounting.

He had a long and successful career in Finance and Banking, working as Vice President of Peoples First Thrift of Utah and later as CEO of Granite Furniture Employees Credit Union; he retired in 2002.

He was very active in community and civic affairs, serving as President of Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, President of Sugar House Rotary Club, Board Member of Salt Lake City Better Business Bureau, Board Member of Future Business Leaders of America, Board Member of Sugar House Development Commission, as well as several leadership and teaching assignments in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He also was a member of the State Boards of Officers' Association for the Utah National Guard. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1954 and retired as Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve in 1977. He graduated from Graduate Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff School and Air War College. He served three consecutive years as a Utah Air National Guard Representative to the National War College in Washington, D.C.

He was very active in sports, loving to golf, play tennis and snow and water ski. In essence, my father lived a full and enjoyable life. His relationship with his family and friends was very dear to him. He often said, "Without these precious relationships, his life would not have been as happy, complete and as perfect as it was."

He is survived by his daughter, Charisse (Ken) Zima, granddaughters Keegan (Tate) Matta and Riley Balling, grandson Calc Zima, great-grandsons Bennett and Collin Matta, and his special and loving companion, Janice Marriott. His loving daughter, Tenley Webb, preceded him in death in 2009. As per his wishes, a private family burial will take place in September at the Monroe City Cemetery.
