She lived in Augusta, Montana, and Portland before settling in Eugene in 2003.
She graduated from Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Mont. She worked in the Kaiser Vancouver shipyards during World War II. She also worked at Fred Meyer and as a keypunch operator for the Bonneville Power Administration. She also was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Willamette Valley Country Club and the Milwaukie Elks Club. She won numerous golf awards. She enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles, card games and bowling.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Greg and Brett, both of Eugene; a stepson, Nick Lumsden of Sun City West. Ariz.; a brother, Andrew Brutosky of Choteau, Mont.; four sisters, Esther Bauer of Missoula, Mont., Kay Larsen of Springfield, and Bertha Anderson and Rosalie Slanger, both of Choteau, Mont; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
