Sallie Cleveland (WOODWARD) is named for her grandmother, Sarah Redfern (TRAYWICK)(1814 - ?1888/9), whose nickname was "Sallie".

Thomas Boone SMITH & Dr. Sallie Cleveland (WOODWARD) SMITH's children are :
1. Female - Lou Ellen (SMITH) (1909 - 1999). She was named for both of her grandmothers : Mary Lou (NORMAN)(? - ?1893) & Phoebe Ellen (AUSTIN) (1850 - 1934).
2. Female - Dorothea (SMITH) (1912 - 2009).
3. Male - William Henry Harrison SMITH, II (1915 - 2002). He was named for his grandfather, William Henry Harrison SMITH, I (1841 - 1934)
4. Male - Leroy SMITH (?1918/9 - ?1918/9) ; Leroy died at birth with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck ; he was a very large baby, about 15 lbs. His grandfather, Asa Lawrence WOODWARD, made his casket. Dorothea remembered watching Asa cry while making the casket on the front porch. Leroy was buried on the family land in Wamba, Bowie County, Texas. No known grave marker exists.

Dr. Sallie got her Dr. of Chiropractic Medicine in 1920. (1920 is the year that women got the right to vote.)

Tom & Sallie were married 28 December 1907 in Miles, Runnels County, Texas ; married by Brother Jesse P. SEWELL in the Church of Christ ; William Walker WOODWARD (1879 - 1965) and his wife, Maude Leslie (CAMPBELL) WOODWARD (1880 -1950) gave the wedding dinner which about 30 people attended. All 50 of the church members were invited to the lunch, but only about 30 came to dinner.

Sallie & Tom divorced in the 1920's in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.

Sallie never married again. Tom's 2nd marriage was to Addie.
