BEN H. KINNEY DIES MONDAY
5-Week Illness Fatal To Hospital Employee-Rites Wednesday.
Benjamin H. Kinney, 65, of 1015 Lovers lane, died at 12:15 o’clock Monday afternoon at the county Hospital, where he had been a patient 5 weeks. Mr. Kinney had been employed as a maintenance man at the hospital prior to his illness. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgina Kinney, he was a member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges of Connersville. Funeral rites will be at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home with Rev. Gilbert Curry in charge. Burial will be made at Garland Brook cemetery. The casket is open at the funeral home. Surviving besides the widow are the following children, Marshall Kinney of Shelbyville, Leon and Robert Kinney of Indianapolis, Malcolm Kinney of Greenwood, Harrison Kinney of Connersville, Mrs. Mary Ranson of Indianapolis, Mrs. Evelyn Ryno of Grand Rapids Mich., Mrs. Edward Snyder of Connersville, Mrs. George Peters of Laurel and Mrs. John Williams of Columbus. A son, George, was killed in the Second World War. Other survivors are three brothers, Ollie Kinney of Washington, Ora Kinney of Rhode Island and Ray Kinney of Michigan; and five sisters, Mrs. William Auten of New Castle, Mrs. Earl Johnson, Mrs. Emma McKee and Mrs. Dewey Starnes of Spencer, and Mrs. Homer Hinton of Tampa. Twenty-three grandchildren also survive.
