Sarah Grimmett Johnson, age 84, of Sheridan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 13, 1933 in Jefferson County, to Marvin Henry and Francis Evelyn Kelley Grimmett.

After retiring from Weyerhaeuser, she did personal sitting for Home Care.

Mrs. Johnson had several hobbies but the ones she enjoyed the most were playing the piano and working in her yard.

She was member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John Stephens Culpepper.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Phil) Mays of Sheridan; six grandchildren, Jason Smith of Star City, Steven (Nina) Smith of Grapevine, Corey Smith of Star City, Keith (Cortney) Smith of Grapevine, Melissa (Russell) Edwards of Pine Bluff, Kari (Nick) Clark of Pine Bluff; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Marvin Richard "Sonny" Grimmett of Pine Bluff; one niece, Lynn McEntire of Pine Bluff; four nephews, Tracey Grimmett of Gilmer, Texas, Richard Grimmett of Haskell, Randy Grimmett of Tyler, Texas and Rusty Grimmett of Pine Bluff.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother Jonathan McEntire officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Branch Cemetery in Grant county.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Jason Smith, Steven Smith, Keith Smith, Corey Smith, Richard Grimmett, Randy Grimmett and Rusty Grimmett.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
