Elisabethe was the daughter of Johann Jakob Aellen and Christina Frautschi of Bern, Switzerland. On 8 Jan 1835 in Boll (Donaukreis), Evangelisch, Donau, Wrtt she married Johann Jacob Geiger.(source:Germany, Select Marriages, 1558-1929) In 1843 at age 33 she emigrated on the ship Oneida traveling from Le Harvre, France to New York. She was married at the time and she and he husband Jacob Geiger had three children in tow: Friedrich age 9, Christian, age 6, and Anna age 1/4 years (baby).

In the 1860 census she was living with her husband and children Christian, age 22, Maria, age 17, Emmanuel, age 15, and Caroline, age 9 in West Granville, Milwaukee, WI.

By the 1870 census she was living with son Christian, his wife Elizabeth and his young family as a widow in Milwaukee, WI. Her husband has died the year before.

She was last enumerated in the 1880 US Census also living with her son Christian and his family in Watertown, Wisconsin. Her late husband Jacob Geiger had been buried north of Granville, Wisconsin in 1869.

They had the following children:
