Ivy M. (Chitwood) Randolph, age 97, of Meta, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Shannon County on July 31, 1909, a daughter of the late Wayne and Eva (Stroups) Chitwood. In August 1929 in Shannon County, she was married to George Randolph who preceded her in death on December 29, 1983.

Those who survive her include: one daughter, June Robbins and husband David of St. Louis; one son, Jerry Randolph and wife Bertie of Meta; four grandchildren, Debra Clinton and Brenda Leverette both of St. Louis, Bradley Randolph of Kansas City and Scott Randolph of Jefferson City; seven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; eleven step grandchildren and two sisters, Gladys Bailey of Reynolds and Katherine Davis of Ellington.

Three sons, Jesse Earl, George Ray and Lyndell Lee Randolph; one sister and five brothers also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. with services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, at Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Rev. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Interment will be in Southside Cemetery near Meta.
