Private services for Richard Dean Prather, 37, will be today in Universal Memorial Center. Cremation will follow.
Mr. Prather, of 5600 N. 43rd Ave., was found dead Wednesday of a gunshot wound in a parking lot at 36th Avenue and Camelback. He had been a salesman for Carefree Kitchens. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1957 and was active in the Little League baseball program. Born in Lamoni, Iowa, he came here in 1971 from California.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine, children, Rochelle, Richard, Kelly and Charles; his mother, Mrs. Eva Atkinson; a sister and a grandmother.
