Mother of local resident dies
MATTOON — Mrs. Eila Marie Cutting, 80, of Carmi died at 12:05 a.m. Friday in Carmi Township Hospital.
She was the mother of Mrs. Marguerite Moore of Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Donald Campbell Funeral Home, Carmi. Graveside rites will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Resthaven Cemetery, Mattoon.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Mrs. Cutting was born May 21, 1896, in Columbia City, Ind., the daughter of Albert and Osca Ella Huff Barnes. She was married to Burt Cutting on Feb. 2, 1919. He died in January 1972.
Mrs. Cutting is survived by three sons, Harry of Riverside, Calif., Malin of Chicago and Carroll of Carlyle, three daughters, Mrs. Moore of Mattoon, Mrs. Francis Dosier of Carmi and Mrs. Evelyn Franklin of Rockville, Md., 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
