Burton, Doyle A., 82, Oklahoma Gas and Electric lineman, died July 23. Graveside services 10 a.m. Thursday, Paoli Cemetery, Paoli (Bill Eisenhour NE, Oklahoma City).

Doyle Alvin Burton, 82, passed away on July 23, 2017. Doyle was born on June 4, 1935 in Paoli, OK to Leslie Dewey and Onnie Ozeter (McDaniel) Burton. Doyle loved fishing and hunting. His favorite animal to hunt was deer and turkey. He worked for OG&E as a lineman and retired in 1994 after 40 years of service. After retirement, he still continued to help friends with small electrical jobs. Doyle loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many times he and the family would go to Lake Murray or Lake Arbuckle where they would enjoy fishing or just spending time with each other. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shelley Burton; great-grandson, Jace Campbell; and brothers, Robert Burton and Kenneth Burton. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Joanne Burton; children, Doyle Burton II and wife Mary, Cynthia Smith, Chuck Burton and wife Tracy; grandchildren, Jeremy Burton, Derek Burton, Aaron Burton, Rocky Campbell, Bobbi Whitlock, Cameron Burton, Zachary Burton, Shawn Sing, and Christy Banjo; 21 great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family members who will miss him dearly. The family will be receiving guests, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, OK with interment to follow.
