Curtis J. "Bud" Lamberth, Jr. age 83, of 629 Jalappa Road, Byromville, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at the Medical Center-Navicent Health in Macon.
Born in Byromville, he was the son of the late Curtis J. Lamberth and Lena Grace Johnson Lamberth. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a retired farmer. Mr. Lamberth was a longtime member and Deacon of Byromville Baptist Church where he served on the Building Committee and various other positions. He was a member of the American Legion and had served on the Dooly County Soil Conservation Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lizzie Lamberth of Byromville; his son, Randy Lamberth (Lisa) of Vienna; his brothers, John Ed Lamberth of Perry, Thomas Lamberth of Cartersville and Douglas Lamberth of Lilly; his grandchildren, Jason Lamberth of Kathleen, Ashley Lamberth of Rochelle, Christina Easterling (Justin) of Byron and Shana Ward of Vienna; 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Virginia Lockerman and Willie Joe Lamberth.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, January 2 in Byromville Baptist Church with interment in Cedar Valley Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Friday, January 1 at the funeral home.
