Lloyd D. “Bud” Strottman
WATERLOO - Lloyd D. "Bud" Strottman of Waterloo died Wednesday, Aug. 23, at the Veterans Hospital, Des Moines, of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 10, in Readlyn, son of Herman and Helen Wedemeier Strottman.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was formerly employed at John Deere and United Concrete.

Survived by: his wife, Donna; three sons, Ryan and Travis, and Terry: two daughters, Bridget (Paul) Godson and Kim Swinburne; three grandchildren, Ambria, Karis, and Colton; two brothers, Virgil "Skip" (Barb), Ariz., and Ervin (Darlene) of Iowa; and a sister, Roxie (Jack) Hastings of Minn.

Preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Harold and Earl; and three sisters, Florence Bachtel and Esther and Bernice Strottman.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
