Ervin L. Strottman 84, of Waterloo, died Saturday May 3, 2014 at ManorCare Nursing and Rehab Center.
He was born Oct. 31, 1929 Readlyn, Iowa, son of Herman and Helen Weidemeier Strottman. He married Darlene M. Kremer on June 6, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lamont, Iowa.
He was employed at Waterloo Industries as a setup man in the welding department.
Survived by his wife; four daughters, Debbie Strottman of Waterloo, Lori Strottman and Kelly Strottman both of Des Moines, and Sheryl (Joe) Rojas of Townsend, Del.; five grandchildren, Kerrianne, Alicia, and Marish Rojas, Jazmynn Hutchings and Javon Williams; a brother, Skip (Barbara) Strottman of Sun City, Ariz.
Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold, Earl, and Lloyd; four sisters, Florence, Roxie, Esther, and Berniece.
Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 - 7pm Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also one hour preceding services at the church on Thursday.
