Requiem High Mass for Charles Chambers, 80, well-known resident of Steelton, who died yesterday [April 1, 1936] at his home, 517 North Front Street, Steelton, will be celebrated Monday morning [April 6, 1936] at 9 o'clock in St. James Catholic Church, Steelton.
The Rev. P. J. Phelan, rector, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home.
Mr. Chambers, employed more than fifty years at the Steelton plant of the Bethlehem Steel Company, was retired twelve years ago. He was for many years foreman in the blast furnace department.
He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mary Young, Smithfield, Ohio; Mrs. Anna Ney, Piney Fork, Ohio; Miss Elizabeth Chambers, at home; Mrs. Sarah Shaw, Steelton; Mrs. Catherine Atticks, Shellsville; James F. Chambers and Joseph C. Chambers, both of Steelton; C. A. Chambers, Philadelphia; thirty-six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
